Everytime I do this kind of sessions, it really does pull my heartstrings all the joy, warmth and love a family has with one another. I am so blessed to be able to witness and capture these memories. Thank you M for the wonderful afternoon with your family.

As the last week has seen inaction in the blogland, the whole family has been visited by the sick bug that is sweeping the whole town with this cool weather. We are all doing fine now, just needed some rest and frequent visits to the doctor.
I am having a blast photographing kids and families in the weekend. This is so amazing that I have been given this opportunity to know all these great people and kiddos.
Portfolio building sessions are now officially closed and Sessions are now being taken for the months of July and August.

We went for a short trip to York while staying in Perth and it proved to be a great day. Three cars and 4 families which ended in a nice lunch picnic at the dam. The view on top of the hill overlooking the small town of York was great even when it was a bit bleak on the weather.
Tara was a little aprehensive being on top of the rock at the lookout but she knows daddy was there for her.

I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone in Hedland for really giving me a warm welcome to the business. I have been inundated with e-mails after I opened my portfolio building shoots and I have to say that I am overwhelmed with the response. Thank you, thank you and thank you. I am booked out since last month until May. I am taking a short break in June and will open for more sessions in July.
And Mother's Day is just around the corner, what better way to give a present, than the gift of memory captured. I am offering a limited number of gift vouchers for future sessions starting in July. This is the best time to capture your memories as the days are cool and we are enjoying these beautiful weather thats only here for a short while. Still gushing over how beautiful and relaxing Ellenbrook Park is, really I am in love. Truly someday I would love to live in Ellenbrook. Here are some more of the gorgeous kids I had the pleasure to photographed on the Easter weekend.
Whilst in Perth, I had the opportunity to rent the most coveted lens -- Canon EF 24-70mm 1.8L. It is indeed a beauty although I had to remind myself that it is a zoom lens. So while having the lens, I photographed some friends' kids while we were having the Easter Egg hunt in the local Ellenbrook park. It is a really beautiful park, I wanted to take it with me to Hedland, I could see myself taking lots of gorgeous kids portraits there-- with the falls, lake and the pond.

Sorry for the delay, we've been back for the last 3 days now but you know how it is when you leave the house unoccupied for 2 weeks, the dust monster come in and wants to make residence. Luckily, we came back just in time before he becomes too comfortable.
I am doing the happy dance all the time and I still can't believe that I am a proud owner of not just one but two babies. Firstly, we had to trade in my beloved Subaru (I missed her) to a brand new super spanking Mazda. You can see Tara in the first one too.
Secondly, I upgraded to 5D Mark II, and it is so SWEET! I had my 30D for the last 3 years, and this new baby is so so unbelievable although I haven't had the chance to play too much with it yet because I was so busy, but here is a snapshot using my new baby.
I will be away from the office for the next couple of weeks, although I will try and answer e-mails as soon as I can.
With Easter holidays coming as well as the school holidays, I wish you all happy holidays and safe travels if you are going out of town. Here is my Easter Bunny blowing you some kisses.

Some girly stuff for now, makes dress ups so fun when you are little. It was indeed a fun shoot.
Well, I thought I had the daylight saving time all figured out but I think not. I have to re-schedule M's session to another date as we forgot about the hour late after the change over, and the light has escaped us for a bit. Nonetheless, it was great to get a quick glimpse of this great family. I could only work it to black and white.
Well, I am so excited for the new storyboard templates I am getting. They are so much fun and here is a sample of it. Note to self - must have will power to stay away from pretty and fun things - but then again - it is just so cool.
E, this is for you.
Well, what can I say, I had so much fun doing this session. The fact that what can go wrong went wrong adds to it. I am still finishing the final edits to the photos and the cd will be ready but for now a sneak from the second part of our session.

I love collages and storyboard, they can be so fun and bright. Just like a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. I sound so poetic but really I love storyboard. They are so many to choose from and I can't decide. Here are a few samples from the previous sessions.

It was such a great time photographing these kids, they were such a lively duo the two boys, kept me on my feet the whole time and I kept giggling, that is why kids are so much fun. They are such cute and adorable kids.

I took a rest editing some photos and diverted my attention to these wonderful Pilbara colours. I took these coming home from photo sessions with clients, and I must say I love sunsets and its colours, although sunrise colours are magnificent as well.
